What would a "No" result in the upcoming AV referendum destroy Nick Clegg's career and the Liberal Democrats?

I think people are underestimating the affect a NO vote would have on the Libdem's and especially Clegg. Clegg and the other Libdems in the cabinet have ensured the Libdem's will be annihilated in the council elections and in the next general election. If they then fail to deliver on AV then many backbenchers and rank and file members will be calling for Cleggs head. This isn't the reason I have voted against AV, but it is an added bonus. By the same token, if AV gets a YES, then Cameron could well find himself in trouble with many in the Tory party. It should be interesting either way.
